Festival Name: Festival 500 Sharing the Voices
Description: Throng to our song in 2003! FESTIVAL 500 is a non-competitive international choral festival, open to choirs and ensembles of all styles and ranges. Join us for this celebration of song with world renown conductors and guest artists in St. John's, Labrador and Western Newfoundland. Come as well to Symposium IV and join presenters from around the globe in a stimulating academic forum on The Phenomenon of Singing.

Festival Name: Royal St. John's Regatta
Description: North America's oldest organized sporting event, going strong at 183 years. Regatta Day at Quidi Vidi Lake features a full day of fixed-seat rowing races and a huge garden party right in the heart of St. John's. This event is held "Weather Permitting" and may be delayed till the following day if condtions are not suitable. A MUSEUM of Regatta History is open during the summer months.

Festival Name: Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival
Description: The Royal Canadian Mint is issuing a sterling silver 50-cent coin to celebrate the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival -- one of only 13 Canadian events to be so honoured. The 25th annual festival will be held in Bannerman Park in downtown St. John's. A family-oriented affair; 11:30 p.m. will see people from 5 to 85 dancing in front of the stage. Close to hotels and B-&-Bs, a short drive to Pippy Park trailer park and Memorial University, where residence rooms may be rented. Via Destination Canada has chosen this as THE festival to attend in Atlantic Canada, and it has for several years been listed among the 100 events promoted by the North American Bus Tour group.
