Irish Festival on the Miramichi
Description: The Miramichi Irish Festival Committee has
put together a jam-packed entertainment package that combines our excellent
homegrown talent with some of Ireland's best groups and musicians. A celebration
of our culture and heritage through song, dance and cultural workshops.The
excitement begins Friday night with the Cyber Pub. A live video link between
Miramichi and Ennis, Ireland. The Can- Irish flavour continues on Saturday with
local favorites, the Cornerboys, and the adward winning Irish group, Danu.
Sunday evening takes on an Irish Festival wrap-up party atmosphere as featured
festival performers combine to hold the biggest Ceilidh ever held on the
Miramichi! During the day on Friday and Saturday take part in Irish workshops
which include dancing, tin whistle, genealogy, folklore, history, literature and
New Brunswick Archives. This years Irish Festival guarantees spectacular moments
that will be remembered for many years to come! Don't miss it!
