Horton Musicfest 2005

Halifax, NS - Horton Musicfest 2005 will take place in Wolfville, Nova Scotia on Saturday, May 28th starting at 5pm at the Old Horton High School - East Field, Highway 101, Exit # 11 Greenwich.

 

Horton Musicfest 2005 will feature acoustic pop-rock quartet Signal Hill, Canada's hottest rockers and ECMA Group of the Year The Trews, ECMA award winning folk artist Dave Gunning, and country music sensation, JUNO award winner George Canyon.

          

"We're thrilled to be presenting this incredible entertainment line up" says event organizer Bud Young, "Signal Hill, The Trews, Dave Gunning and George Canyon, all world class talent, all from Atlantic Canada! The carefully selected festival site at Old Horton High School - East Field in Wolfville, NS is centrally located, provides easy public access, plenty of parking and will be well equipped with facilities and hospitality services for the comfort and enjoyment of our patrons." 

 

Horton Musicfest 2005 takes place during the 73rd Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival, which runs from May 25 – May 30, 2005.  The Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival is a Springtime celebration of our traditions and agricultural heritage. The aim is to promote the best family event for all Valley communities and visitors making it the leading Festival in Atlantic Canada.  For a complete list of events, please visit www.appleblossom.com.

 

Gates open at 4 pm, rain or shine.  There will be catered food service available and a full service licensed beer garden.  No outside food or beverages permitted.  There will be a bag check at front gate.  Lawn chairs will be permitted.   This is an all ages event, patrons must be 19 years and older for access to licensed areas.

 

Tickets are $29.95 (plus HST and service charge) at the Box Office and $34.75 plus HST at the gate.  Advance tickets can be purchased at The Halifax Metro Centre Box Office, Charge by Phone (902) 451-1221, all Sobey's ticket outlets in Halifax (cash only), Pharmasave locations in Wolfville, Hantsport and Canning, and Paddy's Pub, Kentville and Wolfville locations.

The Antigonish Highland Games are the longest running Highland Games in North America - since 1863.  The year 2002 Highland Games will be held on the weekend of July 12th - 14th.

The Celtic Colours International Festival will be held in communities all over Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We present the finest Celtic performers from around the world. Celtic Colours was named the # 1cultural event in Canada in 2001 by both the American Bus Association and Attractions Canada. Oct. 11-19, 2002.

Seacoast Celtic Music events are held at the Petpeswick Yacht Club in
Musquodoboit Harbour (35 minutes from Halifax) on the selected Saturday
Nights below. Foodservice begins at 7:00 and the music starts at 7:30. The
entertainment is provided by The Odd Couples Band and other special guests.

Weekend getaway and daytrip packages available including accommodations,

Description: The 8th Annual 8 mile road race will start at 6:30pm in the community of Louisbourg and will include an historic and picturesque route through the Fortress of Louisbourg.
