The
College of Piping Celtic Festival
Description: The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of
Canada is pleased to present a summer long Celtic Festival. The Summerside
Highland Gathering kicks off the season on the last full weekend in June and the
Celtic Concert Series runs through July and August. with Come to the Ceilidh
evening concerts on a nightly basis and daytime Mini-concerts and Tours Monday
through Friday. If you are traveling as a group, you may be able to enjoy a
custom performance and tour or take part in our educational programming - any
time of year.

Highland Gathering
Description: Celtic entertainment with concerts, Ceilidhs,
fiddling, & children's activities. Daily & eekend passes available. The
entire weekend is a great big Ceilidh - relax in the entertainment tent where
you can sit in the shade and enjoy the musical talents of East-coast favourites.
Pipers, dancers, large men in kilts tossing heavy objects over, under, and
around and all the time hearing the sound of bagpipes. This is a little of what
you will encounter when you walk onto the Summerside Highland Games field. The
Games are a celebration of the Highland arts of piping, dancing, drumming, and
all things Scottish. The piping part of the day begins early with the solo
competitions in the morning. In addition to the competitions are concerts, a
children's area, entertainment, and a beer tent.

Come
to the Ceilidh
Description: A finale to the College of Piping Concert Series
held each year in the luxurious venue, Confederation Centre of the Arts. The
College of Piping faculty and students take the stage for a memorable evening of
traditional music, song, and dance. The College of Piping Pipe Band, The College
of Piping Dance Company, fiddlers, and singers will delight the audience with
their traditional and contemporary medleys and choreographies.
