- Sheree Gillcrist was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada in 1955. she began writing at a young age and this, her first book of poetry, is just a very small taste of what she has to offer. It is merely an indication of the depth of her talent in this, her chosen field. 08/14/02
- Shere King Sheree also had two winning submissions in the Stephen Leacock International Poetry Competition in 1997 and 1998. Both of these entries are featured in this book as is the second placed entry in the 1st International Internet Poetry Competition run by Robert Zenith in 1998.
Her work can also be found in anthologies of literature that are stored in The American Library of Congress, Washington DC USA and in The National Library, Ottawa, Canada. - St John's Folk Arts Council (SJFAC)(Nfld) is a not-for-profit organization that has been active in the music community of Newfoundland and Labrador since 1966. The primary functions of the SJFAC are to host and organize an annual folk festival in St. John's and a weekly folk night at a local pub.
